    Toyota Dealers Near Me

Toyota usually gets talked about for selling sensible cars by the million, so a twin-turbo hybrid V8 supercar climbing the famous Goodwood Hill feels like a happy plot twist. The 2026 Festival of Speed gives the brand a stage, and it’s showing up with serious hardware.

    • The GR GT and GR GT3 share a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 paired with a single-motor hybrid system
    • The GR GT3 gets an all-aluminium frame, a first for Toyota
    • Toyota’s 2026 Le Mans winner and a new Lexus electric supercar join the lineup

    Two Cars, One Bold Powertrain

Leading the charge is the Gazoo Racing GR GT, a track-inspired road car built to show off Toyota’s latest performance thinking. At its heart sits a new 4.0-litre V8 twin-turbo engine working alongside a single-motor hybrid setup. The goal behind that combination is pretty clear: low weight, strong rigidity, a low centre of gravity, and steady aero behaviour when the speeds climb. The front-mounted hybrid V8 is good for around 641 horsepower, sent rearward through an eight-speed transaxle.

Then there’s the GR GT3, the road car’s race-bred sibling. It runs the same core powertrain and the same engineering ideas, but it’s tuned for competition. The big talking point is its all-aluminium frame, which Toyota says is a first for the company. That choice helps boost structural strength while trimming weight, exactly what a serious racing platform needs.

    First Real Look Outside Asia

Goodwood marks a milestone for both prototypes. The GR GT and GR GT3 will make their first uncamouflaged dynamic appearances outside Asia, rolling out of the Supercar Paddock to actually run up the Hill. Seeing these cars move under their own power, free of disguise wrap, is a treat for anyone who has followed the long road from concept to near-production. Toyota first pulled the cover off the GR GT in Tokyo back in December, and the response was strong enough to keep the buzz going right up to this event.

If you’ve been keeping an eye on the GR project and wondering where to actually buy one someday, a quick search for Toyota dealers near me will eventually point toward the network being set up to handle these high-performance machines. More than 100 Lexus dealers have already signed on to sell GR cars, with the supercar expected to land somewhere around $200,000.

A Le Mans Winner Joins the Party

Toyota isn’t only bringing future cars. The GR010 Hybrid that just won this year’s Le Mans 24 Hours is making the trip from the Circuit de la Sarthe to Goodwood for a static display. Mike Conway, Kamui Kobayashi and Nyck de Vries took the checkered flag together, giving Toyota its sixth Le Mans victory and keeping the team at the top of the 2026 World Endurance Championship. It’s the most successful sports prototype the brand has ever fielded, and it shares the stage with two more racing heroes.

Those would be the GR Yaris Rally1, a multi-time World Rally Championship winner, and the DKR GR Hilux from the World Rally-Raid Championship. Together they show how Toyota’s motorsport lessons feed straight back into the cars carrying the GR badge.

    Road Cars With Racing DNA

Over in the First Glance paddock, two new road models prove that the racing influence reaches well past the supercar bracket. The GR Yaris Aero Performance brings fresh aerodynamic upgrades to the beloved hot hatch, sharpening a car that already has a cult following. Next to it sits the all-new RAV4 GR Sport plug-in hybrid, which adds a sport-tuned chassis and a reworked suspension layout to one of Toyota’s most popular nameplates.

Lexus gets its own moment too. The brand is using the Festival of Speed to give the public its first look at the LFA Concept, an electric supercar design study. It shares technology with the GR GT and GR GT3 and aims to carry the emotion of the original V10-powered LFA into an EV future.

Why This Weekend Matters for Toyota Fans

Put it all together and the Toyota and Lexus stands become a central hub for performance at this year’s show. You’ve got hybrid V8 prototypes running the Hill, a fresh Le Mans champion on display, rally legends roaring nearby, and an electric supercar hinting at what’s next. For anyone who thought Toyota only built dependable commuters, this weekend is a fun reminder that the company can throw a proper party when it wants to.
