What to Expect from the All-New 2025 Kia K4

What to Expect from the All-New 2025 Kia K4

When Kia decides to redesign a model, they go all out. This is evident when you go to a Kia dealer and see the all-new Kia K4.

It’s replacing the Forte in the Kia lineup, and the automaker’s smallest sedan is filled with tech and features that you can get at an affordable price.

What Type of Power Does it Have?

One thing that does carry over from the Forte is the four-cylinder engine. It’s a 2.0-liter with 147 horsepower, and it works with a continuously variable automatic transmission. This engine is where the power starts for the K4, but it’s not where it ends. Kia will also offer the new sedan with a 1.6-liter turbo four-cylinder with 190 horsepower. This engine comes with the GT-Line Turbo for those Kia drivers who like some extra pep in their step.

A Cabin Offering the Perfect Combination of Comfort and Function

As soon as you sit down in the K4 you’ll notice the modern feel in the cabin. Kia designers borrowed some aesthetics from the EV9 electric SUV and brought them to the K4. The dashboard features a large infotainment touchscreen that stretches for 12.3 inches and comes loaded with a wireless version of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto no matter what trim level you’re looking at.

While the touchscreen is easy to use and intuitive, drivers and passengers will appreciate the traditional buttons for the climate control and some of the basic audio functions.

All the Advanced Safety Features You Want and Need

This is a brand-new Kia, so of course, it comes loaded with the latest driver aids. When you go to your Kia dealer, make sure to take one out for a test drive so you can try out the safety systems. Every K4 will come with advanced features such as speed limit recognition, and adaptive cruise control along with all the systems we’re getting used to seeing such as forward collision warning, automatic braking, and lane-departure warning.

On the options list, you’ll find a 360-degree parking camera and front cross-traffic alert. And what’s a new vehicle without some automated driving features? You’ll find them the the K4’s optional Highway Driving Assist 2 function. It adds lane-centering assist to the driver aids, minimizing the driver’s input when they are on the highway.

    Yes, A Hatchback is Coming

If you like the idea of the K4 sedan but want the sportiness of a hatchback, you won’t have to wait too long. A hatchback version is headed to your Kia dealer sometime in the next year.

For now, though, the sedan version of the K4 is larger than the outgoing Forte. It’s the largest sedan in its class. The eye-catching exterior look features a fastback roofline and wide stance. In the front, you’ll find Kia’s constellation lights, and when you take a walk around to the back, you’ll find a diffuser under the bumper.
