The mighty Corvette is returning for 2025 with more muscle and a supercar mindset. GM has taken the wraps off the latest Corvette ZR1, and it’s blowing past the competition. This is the good news; the bad news is you’ll have to wait a while before you can head to Chevy dealers to find one. It’s not coming out until next year.

    Blowing Past the Competition

It’s been five years since the last ZR1 debuted, and a lot has changed. The 2025 Corvette ZR1 is putting the 800 and 900 horsepower numbers that its competitors are achieving in its rearview mirror. The twin-turbo 5.5-liter V-8 engine makes a scathing 1,064 horsepower with 828 pound-feet of torque. This impressive horsepower is a 309 jump from the last version of the ZR1.

Now, let’s talk about top speed. How does over 230 mph sound? According to Chevy, this supercar can go up to 233 mph, which will make it capable of running the quarter mile in under ten seconds.

The Corvette ZR1 Takes Aerodynamics to New Levels

Part of the reason the ZR1 is able to achieve such a fast quarter-mile time is the aerodynamic design. It has wide side air inlets, numerous airflow and cooling features, and lots of carbon fiber elements to keep it light. All of these come together to create a ZR1 with more downforce than any other production Corvette in history.

The exterior design includes a flow-through hood and spoiler that works to extract airflow. A front splitter combined with the unique underbody design creates suction that reduces drag and contributes to the added downforce.

    The Carbon Fiber Aero Package

If all those design elements are not enough, you can add the ZR1 Carbon Fiber Aero Package. It gets you a carbon-fiber wing to add even more downforce, and it works with the added underbody strakes and the carbon-fiber dive planes.

A Cabin That Caters to Drivers in the Corvette ZR1

When this Corvette arrives at Chevy dealers, you’ll have to take a seat in it to appreciate everything it has. It’s the perfect combination of performance and luxury. Start with the steering wheel with its flat top and bottom so you feel like you’re behind the wheel of a performance car. But this street-worthy Corvette also has your comfort in mind, wrapping it in leather and giving it heat. The carbon fiber accents add to the overall look of the cockpit, along with the ZR1 badging.

You’ll sit on 8-way, power-adjustable GT1 or Competition sport seats and have a 12-nch color instrument panel right in front of you with all the information you need, whether you’re testing the Corvette out at the track or headed down the highway.

If you want to stay in the know about the latest information about the 2025 Corvette ZR1 you can check out the Chevy website and sign up for updates, or you can visit Chevy dealers in your area and talk to the sales team. They’ll love to fill you in on this supercar.
