10 Fastest Cars on Earth in 2024

Driving fast can be a pure adrenaline rush. Some people have the cache to drive the fastest cars on Earth, while the rest of us only get to talk about them.

In the supercar world, speed comes at an incredibly high price. High-speed drivers pay thousands of dollars to gain the smallest advantage on the track because bragging right at the track is that important to them. Some of the fastest cars on Earth rocket to high speed in a hurry and have top speeds that are only reached in these amazing vehicles.

    Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 – 233 MPH

The blue-collar American supercar adds incredible power and performance to deliver the power to make this car fast enough to reach 233 mph. Unlike some of the other cars on this list, you’ll have an incredible 5.5-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that produces 1,064 horsepower to rocket this incredible Corvette to its amazing speed. This is the highest-performing model of the C8 ‘Vette to date.

    Pagani Huayra – 238 MPH

Everything about the Pagani Huayra makes it look like it should be fast and amazing on every track. This fantastic car is one of the fastest cars on Earth, making it easy to admire how quick and decisive it can be. The Huayra uses a twin-turbocharged V12 engine to produce 730 horsepower that allows this lightweight car to reach its amazing top speed. This Pagani is mostly made of carbon fiber, which increases the price while decreasing the weight.

Aston Martin Valkyrie – 250 MPH

This amazing Aston Martin supercar doesn’t look like it should be legal to drive on the road, but it is. You’ll think the Valkyrie should be a LeMans racer, but it can be taken out on public roads. There’s a 6.5-liter hybrid V12 engine positioned behind the driver to produce 1,160 horsepower, which allows it to reach 60 mph in only 2.5 seconds.

    Koenigsegg Regera – 250 MPH

This Koenigsegg super car is an incredible machine that can hit 250 MPH while offering the sleek and incredible sporty look. This car uses a strong twin-turbocharged V8 engine and an electric motor that produces 1,500 horsepower. Unlike most supercars, the Regera never has to change gears, which is amazing part of adding electrification to most vehicles.

    McLaren Speedtail – 250 MPH

If you want to see one of the fastest cars on Earth that is also one of the sleekest and most stylish supercars, the McLaren Speedtail is a car you’ll want to see and admire. This car is the fastest road car ever built by this brand. The 250 MPH top speed is faster than the last three-seat car from the brand, delivering the speed and style that comes from the super-slippery bodywork.

    Rimac Nevera – 256 MPH

When supercars use electric powertrains, they have instant acceleration from the full torque range that’s available as soon as the car takes off from a line. The added weight of the batteries can slow down some EVs, but that isn’t the case for the Rimac Nevera. The four electric motors of this hypercar generate 1,914 horsepower, which is enough to send this car to 60 mph in 1.9 seconds.

    Hennessey Venom F5 – 272 MPH

Here’s another American supercar that rockets to an amazing top speed. The Venom F5 produces 1,817 horsepower from a 6.6-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine for some incredible speed and performance. This car can launch from 0-60 MPH in 2.6 seconds. Hennessey is looking to get even more speed out of the Venom F5, with a target top speed of 300 MPH.

    Bugatti Tourbillon – 277 MPH

You expect one of the fastest cars on Earth to come from Bugatti. This is the first time we have seen the amazing V16 engine of older Bugatti models with a hybrid motor that generates 1,800 horsepower. This incredibly expensive and powerful supercar can reach 60 mph in 2.0 seconds and could be offered as a faster model in a few years that might hit 300 MPH or more.

    SSC Tuatara – 295 MPH

The SSC Tuatara has half the cylinders of the Bugatti, but it still runs to a faster top speed than the Tourbillon. The SSC Tuatara has an incredible twin-turbocharged V8 engine that sends 1,750 horsepower to the wheels to rocket this car to an amazing speed. Although reports of a 331-MPH top speed were reached, it was an error, but 295 MPH is still pretty incredible.

Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut – 310 MPH

Koenigsegg claims the Jesko Absolut will be the fastest car on Earth, but it hasn’t actually performed the task yet. Still, the setup, build, and weight allow for a theoretical 310 MPH top speed. The Jesko Absolut is powered by a twin-turbocharged V8 engine that sends 1,600 horsepower to the wheels while also returning a 0-60 MPH sprint of 2.5 seconds.

These are the fastest cars on Earth right now; which one is your favorite?
