Performance garage Hennessey celebrates its founding in 1991 in the best way possible–by creating a new performance monster. The Super Venom Mustang makes 850 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. Only 91 units of this supercar will be made globally. The number commemorates the year Hennessey was founded.

    Orders Now Being Taken

Hennessey is based in Texas and is known for its high-performance vehicles created from production cars like the Mustang. Authorized Hennessey Ford dealers are now taking orders for the new Super Venom Mustang. Some of these Ford dealers include Veterans Ford of Tampa, Riddick-Brown Ford, Galpin Ford, and 5-Star Ford.

The Super Venom features an exclusive VenomAero carbon fiber aerodynamic package for improved handling and top performance. The latest supercar from Hennessey is billed as the ultimate performance Mustang with a wide range of enhancements. Hennessey increased the power of the stock 5.0-liter V8 engine by 70% and also achieved 55% higher torque.

    Super Venom Performance Enhancements

Along with the more powerful engine tuning, the Super Venom Mustang adds an all-new performance kit for better handling and cooling. According to the founder and CEO of Hennessey, only the most potent cars get the Venom trademark. For example, there have been Venom Vipers, a Venom GT, and the Venom F5. The Super Venom Mustang is the latest in this line. It delivers supercar performance and can be ordered from certain Ford dealers with a full warranty.

Only 91 units will be made and all will be marked with unique 91 icon badging. Even more performance enhancements on the Super Venom include high-flow air induction, a high-performance supercharger, and an upgraded fuel delivery system. The Hennessey engine management system is what boosts the factory V8 to achieve 850 horsepower.

    In-House Designed VenomAero Performance Kit

The VenomAero performance kit is designed in-house by Hennessey and features an aggressive front splitter, a functional front hood vent, side skirts, a rear deck lid, and functional front fender louvers. It also includes a rear track wing with a tall height and fixed position. Authorized Ford dealers are taking orders now and you can also contact Hennessey directly for orders.

The Super Venom Dark Horse Mustang costs $163,950 and the Super Venom GT starts at $149,950. Both cars get the full Ford factory warranty, plus the addition of a 36,000-mile or three-year warranty from Hennessey.

    Performance By the Numbers

Both Hennessey builds deliver improved handling and better cooling. Let’s take a look at the numbers this translates to. Ford’s Dark Horse Mustang puts out 500 horsepower and can go from zero to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The Hennessey version can do the same in only 3.2 seconds. The factory Dark Horse can do a quarter-mile in 12 seconds at 118.4 mph, but the Hennessey version cuts this down to 10.9 seconds at 133 mph.

Not to be left out, the interior of the Super Venom has also been transformed with blue or black custom styles and bespoke Hennessey leather. Both builds can be had in either a six-speed manual or 10-speed automatic transmission.
